The success of Firemint's Flight Control afforded the Melbourne games developer the funds and the time to develop and polish Real Racing for the iPhone. Real Racing featured social connectivity and offered gamers the ability to upload their replays to youtube, functionality that had not appeared in handheld gaming yet. It took a years worth of development and was known to be one of the most expensive iPhone titles made at the time.

Fumes Stunt Racer, will be available FREE on the iOS for this weekend only! As a collaboration with Appvent Calendar, you'll be able to grab the Stunt Car Racer inspired game developed by Melbourne's own Sector3 between December 3rd and December 5th.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit hit the number 7 spot for top-grossing Appstore titles in the U.S for the last week. It's certainly not a bad effort considering it was just released on Tuesday, the same week. The Appstore racing title was developed by Melbourne's IronMonkey Studios who were acquired by EA earlier this year and is part of EA's mobile division.
As great as Team Bondi's recent L.A Noire trailer was, things just moved too quick and it was all fairly brief. What the team at G4tv have done was look at the trailer in slow motion, and at times frame-by-frame, to catch and inspect the many details that were easily skipped in normal speed...
Rugby Union fans will be delighted to hear that Sidhe have been working on a game of their favourite sport with a release date to coincide with the 2011 Rugby World Cup which is being held in New Zealand next year. Announced today, Rugby Challenge will include a whole range of licensed teams and competitions, online multiplayer functionality, dynamic real-time commentary, and various player customisations. It's coming out for console and PC in Q3, 2011.
