Description

An area for local developers looking for volunteers / non-paid workers for their projects.

Looking for Programmers, Artists, designers....

Good morning,

I would just like to let you know that I am a recruiter specialising in the gaming industry, I have been asked to pass on details of people that are interested and have the right skill set. I have placed people at some of the biggest gaming companies within Australia, however I always have more roles, and not enough candidates to fill them.

My clients are always on the lookout for people with experience in programming (c++, c#), Artists (modellers, texture artists), game designers and testers. If you have any of these skills and are looking for a new role please let me know. If you have the skills but do not have commercial gaming experience that is ok, as I have some clients that will hire people with the correct skills.

If you would like more information please give me a call on
(07) 3220 3693 or send me a PM.

Thanks,

Roy

2D Artist/Animator Wanted For Indie Project

Hi there,

My name's Tristan Clark. I'm currently developing a casual indie title (ie. one that will be sold online) for PC, and am in need of a skilled 2D graphics artist.

For some brief info on the game itself, you can check out an old design document here:
http://www.rowanclark.com/Flo.doc

My previous artist had too many other things on, and so couldn't continue working on this project. I'd love to have someone else from NZ work on this. As you can see, the current style is somewhat cartoony:

I need someone who can create graphics either in a similar vein (animated sprites etc), or possibly pre-rendered 3D images - I'm a bit sceptical on that one, but it works quite nicely in games like Wik (http://www.wikgame.com/Gallery.html).

Here's a rather old mockup of the basic concept of the game, to give you a better idea of what it'll be like:
http://www.rowanclark.com/flo7.zip

You would need to be able to do everything from backgrounds to drawings to animated sprites. Payment will be a mixture of upfront money and royalties - which is certainly not ideal, but I'm afraid it's the best I can offer! If you are interested, send me an email at tristastic@gmail.com with a link to some of your work, and maybe a paragraph or two discussing your thoughts on what the graphics could look like.

Cheers,
Tristan[/img]

You will ideally have some technical knowledge and you will have the ability to work on your own initiative. You must be passionate about games. Prior testing experience on Sony PSP would be advantageous. However, we are willing to consider applicants who own and have extensively played software on this format as end users.

You must be available full-time, Monday-Friday on an ongoing basis and be prepared to work outside normal working hours, including weekends.

2D/3D Graphics artist wanted for new brilliant on-

I'm looking for a 2D/3D graphics artist for a relatively new project. 90% of the coding is already done.

The idea is to create an on-line-role playing game where visitors can meet, talk, buy things and so on. In this world about 30 games are compiled in. Right now only 2D is supported but I plan to implement 3D capability soon. These games are created by other game delvelopment teams.

The games are played for money, usualy in the form of bets. For each game played for real money a small fee is charged, 40% goes to the developer that made the game and the rest is out profit unless we sell the system (for a fortune :)). In other words, this project may generate quite a bit of money.

Testgraphics is avalable so getting started should be quite easy. Take a look at the prject at http://www.it-bubblan.se/rpgarcade/feats.php.

You may download and test the system as it is now but you need to upgrade to the very latest version of DirectX. The game will guide you to a download page.

If you think you can make graphics that looks as good or better than the test-graphics, email portfolio to andreas@it-bubblan.se.
