Job Type: Sub-contract 4 months.
The Position: 2 PROGRAMMER POSITIONS
Requirements: Must have or procure an ABN number
Rate: $30K

PROGRAMMER
Bungarra develops leading-edge games for the PS2 and Xbox and upcoming consoles. We have 2 sub-contract programming positions open for skilled well-rounded and dedicated programmers. The sub-contractor?s will perform a variety of tasks over the contract period.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The programmer will design, code and implement efficient code for the current generation of game consoles.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Experience developing on PlayStation 2. X-Box and Gamecube experience a plus.
Shipped at least one PS2 game a plus
Be familiar with RenderWare PS2 graphics engine (3.4 +)
Have a strong working knowledge of Flash and art packages (3DS Max, Maya etc)
Have a strong working knowledge of animation systems
Have a strong working knowledge of audio systems
Experience in memory design and management
Experience in optimal loading design & techniques
Experience optimising for memory and speed with hardware profilers
Proactive about new rendering techniques
Strong 3D math and computer graphics experience
Experience developing object oriented software in C++

DEMONSTRABLE CHARACTER TRAITS:
Must have a passion for games and interactive entertainment. You?ve got to know something about the realities of video game development. If you don?t play them, or have any idea about hardcore game-development, you?re going to be at a big disadvantage on the job.
Must have a passion for game development and strong desire to ship quality on time
Excellent communication skills within a team environment
Self motivated
Excellent work ethic ? this is vital
Ability to accurately estimate delivery, AND, deliver bug free code on time.
You?ve got to be meticulous - a borderline obsessive
This is industry is NOT 9 to 5 (particularly during crunch time).
Would prefer Perth based people, but we would be willing to consider interstate talent prepared to re-locate at their own expense.
