Senior Software Engineer

We are searching for talented, motivated and experienced people who enjoy working in a close, team-oriented environment and enjoy a relaxed and friendly sub-tropical lifestyle here in Brisbane.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining video game software.

Passionate about creating games, the right candidate will work in a team of 30 ? 40 people, producing a Next Gen title in concise cycles.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
? Assist in coding and development of video game systems
? Communicate and work with the Technical Director and Lead Programmer to implement specific game and tool modules
? Implement engine, game and tool code according to Technical Directors specifications
? Ensure a high quality of code whilst keeping bugs to a minimum

Requirements:
? Strong 3D math background - Must have understanding of matrix math and similar requirements for 3D programming
? 4+ years of game industry experience with at least two published titles
? Demonstrate proven ability in at least one of the following:
Physics - object interaction and advanced collision management
Graphics ? rendering and shader level technology
AI - creating convincing character behaviour models
? Forward thinking, modular design and a holistic approach to coding
? Strong C++ skills, HLSL shader programming is a strong advantage
? Strong communication skill
? Xbox programming experience is an advantage

Environment Artist

Fuzzyeyes Studio is looking for exceptionally skilled 3D Environment Artists for an unannounced PC project. The ideal candidate will have experience modeling and texturing assets for a diverse visual range of environments.

The successful candidate must have a solid grasp of form, colour, and light for both 2D and 3D art assets. The environment Artist must have exceptional skill in modeling and texturing. The environment artist must be well versed in these tools ? 3D Studio Max, Maya and Photoshop. The ability to work effectively in a team is highly regarded.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
? To produce art assets directed by the Art Lead or Art Director on a variety of production tasks
? Work within a collaborative team environment
? Develop the design and artistic vision of the video game in variety of genres, refine and translate the ideas into a conceptual style, look and feel.
? Create workable designs that will enhance the creation of gameplay in the video game.
? To follow project standards for workflow pipelines and organization of assets

Required Skills/Experience:
? 2+ years experience or the equivalent of one (1) or more published titles.
? BFA or equivalent skill level as demonstrated in portfolio
? Skills in drawing, with the ability to produce high-quality, imaginative concept art and professional storyboards
? Practical art skills with a healthy understanding of the fundamentals of art and design
? Strong skills in Photoshop
? Advanced understanding of 3dsMax or Maya
? Strongly self-motivated personality
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Be responsive to deadlines and work well under pressure
? Experience in creating concept artwork for games is a plus
? Level editing knowledge in a known game engine an advantage

Lead Animator

Job Type: Full Time

Fuzzyeyes Studio is looking for a talented lead animator. They will work closely with Project Manager and Lead Artist to address all animation issues related to all current projects.

The successful candidate must be able to define the stylistic vision for character animation, maintain technical standards related to animation and contribute accurate scheduling information to the Project Manager. Additionally, the Lead Animator will be responsible for effectively communicating project objectives to the team of animators on a daily basis.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
? Lead a team of animators, taking the responsibility for artwork generated by your team
? Assisting and collaborating with the Art Director, Project Manager, and other Leads to create production schedules and production processes
? Ensure your team delivers work on time within design specifications
? Make critical technical and artistic decisions
? Maintain a strong team relationship with other departments such as engineering and design
? Participate in animator/artist reviews
? Contribute innovative and original ideas towards new artistic processes and tools
? Develop animation style guides to help define the personalities of the characters.
? Oversee the work of the animation team on a daily basis, effectively communicating animation direction, as well as delivering constructive feedback to work in progress.
? Problem solving and consistent solution provision for technical issues related to animation.

Required Skills/Experience:
? 3+ years experience as an animator in the game industry
? Prior experience or training in traditional cell animation techniques.
? Strongly prefer experience with motion capture as well as key framed data.
? Experience animating characters with character studio, Maya, and Motion Builder
? Experience with game tool chains
? Concrete knowledge of core animation principles (weighting, timing, etc)
? Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
? A passion for gaming.
? Experience creating animations for action games a plus

Level designer / Game Designer

Job Type: Full time

Fuzzyeyes is currently looking for a Game designer for an unannounced PC project. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of designing a new game from the initial idea to the day it goes on sale.

The successful candidate will be involved in creating large sections of the design individually or as part of a group, based on the Game Design Document or direction from the Lead Designer. Other tasks will involve working with the design team in a collaborative manner to ensure the correct execution of the design vision.

Job Description/Responsibilities:
? Level Design and gameplay implementation.
? Script AI behavior, specific gameplay systems or mechanics.
? Craft quality, fun design, appropriate to genre, demographic, and platform.
? Demonstrate a high level of creativity and innovation in game design.
? Effectively design major game features within given constraints.
? Ability to write thoroughly and within given time constraints.
? Communicate design clearly to other team members.
? Work with programmers, artists and lead game designer to ensure timely design buy-in.
? Remain stationary for long periods of time while working in front of computer.
? Ability to organize ideas in a compressive and well-structured game design document.

Required Skills/Experience:
? Diploma qualification or equivalent
? At least 2 years work experience within the industry, experience using popular level editors is a plus.
? Shipped at least one title or more as a designer or senior designer, from concept through to final product.
? Have a strong sense of human computer interaction in terms of gameplay design principles.
? Ability to evaluate existing and competitive products from the design perspective.
? Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills; be able to effectively communicate with the lead designer, programmers, and artists.
? Have excellent organizational skills, be able to accept and provide direction, work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
? Familiar with 3D packages. (3DStudioMax or Maya).
? Have a background in programming, scripting or a strong level of confidence in programming concepts (major plus).
