Melbourne: thatgame requires contract artist
We require a talented, motivated 2D/3D digital artist to work in the video games industry on titles for PS2, XBox and PC. This is a short term contract posiotion of 3 - 6 months. There are 2 main disciplines the applicant must have experience in - lo-poly games modeling with Maya and 2D Flash animation.
The position will involve the creation of game res models in Maya 4/5 and level asset creation using our in-house tools. The job will also involve the creation of animation assets - namely in-game 2D cinema that must be created in Flash MX.
We have a tight deadline and the workload reflects this, that's why we only need replies from game artists with the relevant skills and experience.

We have a contract position opening soon to develop at least one website, with the possibility of a full time job doing graphic and website design further down the track. Our company, Mammoth Media, is a small software development company; we currently manage BigPond GameArena (http://games.bigpond.com) and the AusGamers Network (http://www.ausgamers.com).
While its not directly developing games, I thought it still may be of interest as just about everything we do is in the gaming industry and your work will get a lot of exposure.
Previous experience working in a team in this field is preferred. We're basically after someone that knows their way around Photoshop, is comfortable creating innovative new designs and graphic elements, and can work to a production timetable.
