Get down to the State Library of Queensland and unleash your passion for play this summer at 'Garage Gamer' - a video and mobile games exhibition, with workshops, films, talks and special events.

Garage Gamer is Queensland’s first interactive games venue dedicated to local game lovers and game makers. It features dozens of new games, a first peek at pre-releases, and a chance to get away from the screen and explore the ideas and creative processes behind the digital games of today.

In its capacity as the Federal Government’s key agency for providing support to the screen production sector, Screen Australia has been charged with administering the new $20 million Interactive Games Fund to help build a sustainable base for the Australian interactive entertainment industry. The agency will develop funding guidelines in consultation with the games sector to develop the best possible funding program.

IGDA Sydney's final Beer and Pixels, the catch up and meet'n greet organised by the local IGDA chapter for local games developers, for 2012 has been set at Club 77 on the 11th of December. Bring your games and work-in-progress for discussion and feedback from fellow devs over a relaxing beer or two or three.
