The nominations for the 2012 Freeplay Awards are open! You've got until the 20th of August to submit your nominations for the following categories in the third annual Freeplay Awards...

  • Best International Game
  • Best Design in a Game
  • Best On-Paper Design
  • Best Art in a Game
  • Best Concept Art
  • Best Technical Innovation
  • Best Game Writing
  • Best Audio

The key dates for the Freeplay Awards this year are:

IGDA Brisbane have been publishing a series of quick "fast five" interviews with some great local developers in the lead up to their Game On Symposium: Foreplay to Freeplay event which is happening on Saturday and Sunday, this weekend in Brisbane.

Just a reminder that Gametech is on next week on Tuesday and Wednesday! There are tickets still available but spaces are strictly limited, so if you do plan on attending, you're gonna have to book yours as soon as possible. Congratulations! Freeplay reaches Pozible crowd-funding goal

Freeplay, the Independent Games Festival have just reached their Pozible crowd-funding goal today! After passing the halfway mark of their month-long campaign just a few days ago, Freeplay has reached the $4,000 goal of pledges which is a phenomenal effort by you guys, the attendees! There was a considerable boost in the last two days which was $3,223, but if you want to see some detailed stats on how the campaign progressed up to this mid-way point, then head on over to the Freeplay blog!
