Contract Role: UX Researcher
Frequency: Casual/Contract/Part time
Location: Based in Melbourne/Victoria, for running physical events in the CBD
The Role: Seeking a casual researcher to assist us with running, facilitating and examining playtests for player testing Innchanted. The role will require the candidate to run, facilitate and document insights from player testing, primarily for a monthly physical playtest at ACMI, and potentially also additional online playtests.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in UX design processes and methodologies.
- Experience turning UX designs into actionable tasks for the development team.
- Excellent interview skills and the ability to focus conversations to what’s truly valuable.
- An eye for detail and a curiosity to make things better.
- Ability to guide stakeholders through vision, shaping, and delivery.
- Confidence in facilitating presentations and running workshops.
- You value design based on iteration, and real customer feedback.
- Use quantitative and qualitative research methods to drive product direction and implementation
- Experience conducting research within the digital/mobile product space
- Confident creating and executing research plans for interviews, surveys, ethnographic research, usability tests, competitive landscapes, secondary research
- Ability to synthesise data to extract actionable insights
- Experience facilitating playtests, aggregating the insights and feedback from players, then presenting the results to the team in a organised documentation.
Bonus: Experience in leveraging heuristics and telemetry to inform designs.
