A bit about you:

You are a Gameplay or UI Programmer with at least one game released or a portfolio of complete, personal projects that clearly demonstrate your skills (please include your role and contributions to each project).  You enjoy working as part of a small, high-performing team. You would be happy to contribute to design and tech meetings, while also possessing the professionalism to trust other team members to carry out their design and development tasks. Ideally we’re looking for someone with experience in wireframing and implementing user interfaces in a VR environment, as you’ll be working with the team to deliver a new virtual tabletop experience.

You will be:

  • Working remotely within Australia
  • A key member of a small team of developers
  • Helping Tin Man Games on a new IP starting in 2022
  • Working with Unity & C# to develop video games
  • Working closely with the engine team to deliver clean and effective virtual reality hand-tracked inputs within Unity and Bolt.
  • Working closely with the design team to deliver simple and effective VR based user interfaces to deliver a seamless player experience.
  • Provide support to the QA team by creating effective debugging tools/interfaces
  • Testing and improving gameplay through simulated physical interactions.
  • Responsible for breaking down tasks and estimations, with support from production

You’ll need to have experience with the following:

  • Working as a part of a team, but have the initiative and self-motivation to complete your tasks
  • Ability to expand and adapt third party codebases as well as reverse engineer example projects.
  • Using source control (ideally Git, but SVN, Perforce, or similar is fine)

Bonus points if you have any of these:

  • Familiarity with any of the following: Trello, Confluence, JIRA
  • Interest in tactical strategy games, board games and/or MOBAs (XCOM, Wargroove, Fire Emblem, League of Legends, DOTA2, Warhammer etc.)
