The other concepts are great but i think, just to make it more challenging for myself, i'll make up my own. Hopefuuly i'll start working on it sometime soon

decided i may as well complete my entry so i went back and changed some stuff which was annoying me. mainly the protruding pauldrons, i pulled them back into the helmet, i think it looks better and should make for easier deformation. its at 3244 tris right now

Nice work! Is that detail on the side of the boot seperate? I think it would be, hard to tell.. Anyways time to paint this baby!
Great work on that Master and savant too, looking forward to this model.
Just a design suggestion, but you probably have tried this, The section around the neck looks quite bulky, just wondering what it looks like if this area was to flair out over the top of the shoulders, incorporating the helmet and a shoulder guard.

thanks for the comments, unfortunately i've been busy and have not managed to fix much of the model. so i decided to move onto to texturing tonight. this is probably the worst unwrap i've ever done but it'll have to do for know. i'll start painting tommorow

yeah, i enjoy modelling but not texturing so this is pretty much my second unwrap/texture (the other time was the last sumea comp).
anyway here is the wip of the head to give an idea of where i'm going, the blue is where glowy bits will go. i'll have to pick up the pace if i want to finish but i should have a bit more spare time in the mext few days.

another update, most of the helmet roughed in. i've taken quite a while up to this point but hopefully i'll manage to complete it for the timeline. i liked the yellow rather than blue for the glowy bits as well.

yeah it does look very painted, but considering the time i've given myself, if i want any consistency i'm probably going to have to stick with the painterly look.
also, here's my attempt at the head (screen grabs and uv), this is only my second head texture so any help will be appreciated, hopefully i'll have time to address any suggestions.

well, i've completed the first map, hopefully if i get enough of the second finished tomorrow i'll be able to come back and refine it a bit more. right now i'm pretty pleased compared to my previous efforts but i'd still like to improve certaint parts.

The armor lends itself well to have a jetpack, especially the helmet, that baby's built for speed[8D]
