An exciting opportunity has become available for a professional Localisation Manager/Producer to join the Japanese THQ Headquarters in Tokyo. THQ is a leading global publisher and distributor of interactive entertainment software for a variety of platforms (PS2, Wii, DS and Xbox360, etc.) THQ is responsible for the publishing of well known brands such as Disney/Pixar, Nickelodeon and WWE.



Reporting to the US Senior Global Localisation Manager & Japan Country Manager you will be responsible for the localization of all THQ product for the Japanese market, ensuring all products meet required local quality and legal specifications, launch schedules and budgetary requirements. You will also be responsible for managing one direct report, temporary staff and external vendors.



This is a diverse role suited to a professional with excellent knowledge of the Japanese video game market. You will have the ability to communicate complex written and verbal information clearly, in both Japanese and English and communicate with all THQ studio?s globally. With a natural ability to plan, good attention to detail and the ability to organise and follow through, you are driven by a passion and commitment to achieving results.



Core Competencies:



? Ability to speak, read and write well in English and Japanese.

? Demonstrated work experience in the games industry, ideally in QA or a Production role.

? Knowledge of Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo test and submission processes

? Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

? Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
