A rare opportunity has arisen to join Electronic Arts, the world?s leading independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software whose repertoire includes titles such as Need For Speed, Medal of Honour, Lord of the Rings as well as all major sporting licenses including Rugby and Cricket.



EA seeks an experienced Software Engineer to join their dynamic, Melbourne based team and fulfil the following key duties:



? Variety of programming tasks involved in developing a console game across multiple platforms, and using technology shared with other teams.

? Develop and maintain various run time systems and offline tools as required

? Assist other team members in solving workflow issues

? Assist in writing of schedules and technical design documents



The ideal candidate has:



? At least 3 years programming experience in the game industry

? Excellent C/C++ programming skills

? Strong maths skills

? Experience with low level console performance issues

? Ability to work within a schedule

? Ability to work as a member of a team in a very dynamic environment

? Ability to work with and extend existing code

? BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience



It would be great if you also have:



? Experience in assembly programming

? Experience managing junior engineers

? Shipped at least one console game
