More Info:
The Lead Artist is responsible for crafting the art assets for the game. We are primarily looking for someone experienced in environment art, 3D modelling and texturing, and 2D asset creation.
This role will be required to plan, experiment and develop various 3D art resources, assets and collaborations, under the direction of the Art Director. You are comfortable in exploring various styles, including expressionist environments, as well as taking on feedback and direction from the Art Director.
You will also be responsible for establishing documentation, as well managing situations that impede production objectives. As the Lead Artist, you will be expected to consult with team members and run collaboration and brainstorming sessions to support their creative input. The game is being built in Unity 3D and will require both 2D and 3D assets.
We have unique workflows, systems and protocols in place that prioritise cultural safety, and as such we are not expecting you to “get an entire game done by X time”. At this stage the game is in development and co-design processes with community & the Art Director. This short term contract is to allow you time to collaborate with the artists & Art Director on a small collection of assets for the game art- not a finished game.
