We are a leading Australian developer based on the Sydney city fringe. We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our team and lead our programmers through the development of our game technology.



Reporting to the CTO, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the development teams ensuring that programming standards are being maintained, carried out on time and to a high quality.     



Required:



- Previous programming experience essential.

- Management of development teams larger than 10 people.

- At least 5 years within a team management environment.

- Some form of experience within games industry or knowledge of how games are made.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.





Expectations:



- Excellent communication skills.

- Manage and maintain development team while promoting good team morale.

- Ensure that all technical milestones are reached and take appropriate action if the project falls behind, or takes a new direction.

- Responsible for producing stable milestone/interim builds

- Running team meetings and ensuring good communication.

- Review/appraise staff and deal with general performance management of the programming team.

- Ensure that all technical documentation is maintained to a high standard.

- Continually provides quality project leadership by successfully integrating individual team member strengths and capabilities into the demands, requirements and limitations of the project.



Desirable:



- Experience within a games development environment

- Broad knowledge of Game programming techniques



Salary: Commensurate with ability and experience.
