The Role
Due to recent and ongoing growth, Pandemic Studios Australia is seeking a confident, passionate and energetic individual to pioneer a Human Resource role within the studio.
Reporting to the Business Director, the position will be the only HR role within the studio and consequently the knowledge required to undertake this responsibility is essential.
The successful applicant will have a flexible and supportive approach to designing and implementing new processes across the business. Substantial generalist management experience is essential as is the ability to think strategically while operating in a hands-on manner.
This role will be busy, varied and, among other things, will see you advising and coaching managers across the business in relation to remuneration and benefits; award and legislative interpretation; employee reward and recognition procedures; and policy development and interpretation.
You will need to think on your feet, juggle your task load and resolve problems quickly. You will have good core knowledge and experience of HR and IR and will enjoy working in a fast-paced and exciting environment unlike any other.
Core Responsibilities
? Advising and supporting Business Director on workplace issues
? Coordinating and supporting all recruitment procedures
? Working with the US office on developing, implementing and maintaining the Human Resources and Employee Manual
? Organising employee inductions
? Facilitating performance management issues, including OH&S
? Developing and implementing policies and procedures
? Training staff in policies and procedures
? Consulting with management team regarding staffing requirements including but not limited to performance counseling, remuneration, staff development and termination
? Managing general human resources administration
? Promoting positive morale and cultural changes
The Person
? Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management
? At least 3 years of proven industry experience
? Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills
? Strong time-management skills
? Experience training and developing leaders (preferable)
? Desire and ability to operate autonomously within a performance-orientated team (essential)
? Focus on continuous professional and personal development (essential)
? Experience and accreditation in psychometric tools (highly desirable)
? Above all, this person must be a positive and enthusiastic ?people? person willing to go the extra mile for their team.
This is a key role with great responsibility. While no guarantees can be made past the 6-month period, there is also career potential for the longer term. Ideally the role will commence as soon as possible.
