Firemint's Flight Control has more than its popping upeverywhere, but now Brisbane's Halfbrick Studios can enjoy that warm "flattering" feeling of having their game idea blatantly copied.
An unabashed rip-off of Fruit Ninja; doesn't do enough to stand apart - Slidetoplay.comQuantum Squid have brought out Veggie Samurai for the iPad, and it looks like they've made no attempt at disguising this as a Fruit Ninja clone, given the title of the game which mimics the original as well as the trailer. Gaze your eyes at the video below, you'll immediately recognise Fruit Ninja's all too familar slicing game idea, albeit with some extra combos and multi-slice features. All's fair in love and war, and game design, it seems. Unfortunately, the reviewer at Slidetoplay.com has summarised Veggie Samurai as "An unabashed rip-off of Fruit Ninja; doesn't do enough to stand apart", so it's probably worth giving it a miss if you have the original.

That was my initial impression too - thought it was a follow-up title from Half Brick.
Hmm
Given the proximity of release to Fruit Ninja, it's a good bet this game was in development at the same time.
However, marketing it like a sequel to Fruit Ninja is a bit dirty :P
