Creepy Caverns for iPhone released

Local indie developer, Creature Interactive, have just released Creepy Caverns for the iPhone and iPod Touch! Creepy Caverns promises a whole lot of classic platforming action and looks to be an easy to pick up and play type of game, so check out the video footage of the game below (please note that from Creature Interactive's original post, the rockin' chip tune isn't in-game), and follow the links at the end for the Creepy Caverns appstore page! Check it out and buy it now!

From the Creep Caverns website:

Dr Archibald needs retirement money! After working in the Museum for decades,
it's time to go exploring for hidden riches in perilous ancient tombs and caverns.

Along the way Dr Archibald will contend with spikes, trampolines and crumbling destructible
levels that fall apart at his very touch!

- simple tilt controls; rotate left and right to guide Mr Archibald's jumps
- classic platformer action
- Use breakable blocks to create your own path!
- 20 tricky levels across four exotic locations

Can you survive the Creepy Caverns?

Congratulations on getting your first game out. :)

My only complaint is that there's no button on the creepy cavern website that takes me to the iPhone store page. It should be the first thing I see!

Thanks Chris,

Yes, I'll have to update the site presently!

I'm really excited to announce that the artist who did the chiptune music that backs my trailer has turned out to be a fan of the game, and he's opened his catalogue of tracks for me to use within the game.

Expect an update very soon with some excellent 8-bit music!

The game is getting quite a glowing response on the forums, and I'm waiting on the first reviews to come out.

The game is a bit of a labour of love, and I'll continue to expand it as time permits... I'm less concerned about making a quick buck and more concerned about making an indispensible, indie friendly game for people like me that dig cool retro action. :D

Cheers,

Scott.

Thanks John... that means a great deal coming from you. Halloween Harry is one of the games that got me interested in the whole business in the first place.

As you can see, Creepy Caverns is a bit of a throwback to that era. :)

I'm aiming to get my first update of the game done today, along with the lite version. It's really hard to get everything done at once when you're a one man band!

Thanks,

Scott.

Hey Guys,

Creepy Caverns has received an update which includes 4 awesome 8bit music tracks from prolific chiptunes composer Thomas 'DRAX' Mogensen.

The update is about a week old, but in the meantime I've had an epic dirtbike crash (10\10 in style points I'm told), and I haven't been able to get my aching body in front of a computer to announce the update.

I hope you'll take the time to check out the game as I'll continue updating it with awesome content, making the paltry $1.20 entry fee a complete bargain!

Thanks,

Scott.

Love this game. Fun, addictive and polished, I actually wish I'd paid for it now.

Thanks for the compliment anonymous.

If you feel you'd like to pay me back, maybe you'd like to join my twitter group, www.twitter.com\creaturegames and keep an eye out for the stuff I'm doing in the future.

Also, share the word with anyone that may like the game... I'm much rather that people are playing it for free than to have it slip under the radar!

Thanks!

Scott.
