Krome continues Ian Lovell's legacy awarding the 2009 animation scholarship to Griffith University student Anthony Ho.
Brisbane, Australia – May 18, 2009 – On August 31 2008, Krome Studios® lost a much loved friend and co-worker, Ian Lovell. He was remembered by all for his affectionate warmth, straight-talking tenacious manner and as a very caring, loyal, supportive and vibrant man.
Ian achieved a BA Honors degree in Animation before starting his career as a talented 3D Artist and Animator. He worked on many projects at Krome. More recently these included Star Wars® The Clone WarsTM: LightsaberTM Duels and Star Wars®: The Force UnleashedTM.
Krome worked with Griffith University to honor his memory with The Ian Lovell Memorial Animation Scholarship. Recipient and Bachelor of Animation student, Anthony Ho was recognised for his continuous hard work, commitment and talent in the field of animation. The scholarship will pay tuition fees for Anthony's third and final year and will offer him an internship at Krome Studios on the completion of his degree.
Krome Studios and Griffith University will host a luncheon this Tuesday at the Brisbane Powerhouse to award Anthony his scholarship. A guided tour of Krome will follow where he will be able to see the game studio where Australia's largest titles are being developed.
