Melbourne developer, Firemint, have released some very comprehensive sales stats on their iPhone hit game, Flight Control. The 16 page PDF document breaks down Flight Control's sales between March 24th and April 25th, showing off some interesting numbers like total sales by day, total sales by country, sales trends, and chart performance.
The report shows that the biggest consumers of Flight Control were the Americans who took a whopping 57% of the total sales, with Great Britain at second place with 17%. Australia makes it in the top ten with 7th place, which I think is pretty amazing.
To date, Firemint believes that Flight Control has over 700,000 sales so far on the iPhone. At its peak, Flight Control was selling more than 35,000 downloads a day. Not bad for a small side project at Firemint :)
Great work!!!
Great work!!!
"$1,000,000" Dollars! *Dr
"$1,000,000" Dollars! *Dr Evil style*
Although I'd advise that with this success comes the responsibility to continue to raise the bar in design quality, sound and visuals for the iPhone development sector. I'd love to see new and interesting games by Firemint continue to come out in the near future. Not flight control 2,3,4,5... so forth.
Don't make flight control your one-hit wonder is what I'm saying. :)
