A whole seven sku's of movie-licensed game adaptation is coming out for the upcoming Michael Bay explosion and effects movie, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Krome Studios have been assigned to meticulously add all the explosion within explosion effects (as well as base a game around it) to the Playstation 2 and the Nintendo Wii versions.
The skus which Krome are developing are noted to include "individual platform features to deliver an intense third-person action adventure game that combines dynamic robot combat with arcade-style vehicle sequences and flight-based levels" - so it's safe to say that the PS2 and Wii versions will have some unique Krome designed and developed content, just like what they offered in the Star Wars games that they did for Lucas Arts.

dev time
Let's hope that they have been given enough devtime, unlike most movie titles...
hopefully they will give it to the melbourne studio...
... and let them use the tech they created for the Atari Transformers game years back.

So, you want it to only be released on PS2?
Read the article, they are
Read the article, they are only doing PS2 and Wii.
This might be good for them as the only next gen game of theirs I played was pretty bad (Hellboy). I didn't bother with Force Unleashed but heard it was pretty good. So maybe PS2 /Wii suits them, that and maybe following someone elses design?
Krome didnt do the next gen
Krome didnt do the next gen versions of Force either.
Good on them!
Krome are getting quite a portfolio under their belt. It would be good to see some more original IP from them in the future.

Melbourne House
So the Atari Melbourne House guys ended up working on another Transformers game after all!
please..
..do a post-mortem on Hellboy before you make this? What went right, what went wrong, determine your strengths etc
There are some really useful articles on Gamasutra about how to do this.

Hellboy was done by a
Hellboy was done by a different team with different tech for a different platform. Hardly anything is the same between those two projects. (The level editor tool is the same.)
Congratulations...
It must be very exciting to have Transformers on the books again. Congratulations guys. :-)
I hope they put Keir on the boss battles again! He da man!
Sigh, I just played through this on PS2
..and it was far from great. Wasted opportunity!
