Dissecta event: GDC '08 Debrief

Can't get to GDC this year? Tell me about it. But you will have the opportunity to hear a rundown of the event from 2 prominent Australian games industry figures hot off the plane from GDC, Tom Crago, CEO of Tantalus Interactive and President of the Game Developers' Association of Australia, and Rob Murray, CEO of Firemint. Tom will also cover the recent DICE Summit 2008 held early this month in Las Vegas. The night will also feature a swag of video game clips to show.

The Game Developers Conference is being held in San Francisco 18-22 February.

This is a free event followed my complimentary networking drinks and pizza at the Australian Games Innovation Centre, AIE Melbourne. If you're able to make time to come to this you'd be crazy to pass it up.

And on a related note. Dissecta's Founder and Convener, Tim Richards, is giving a free public talk at Federation square next week during Australian Organ Donor Awareness Week. The talk is called 'Life on the List', and Tim will speak about life on the heart and lung transplant list which he joined 3 years ago. 'Life on the List' provides an understanding of what it means to wait for an organ transplant, including insight into getting on the list in the first place, being a patient or a person, and being positive ... all from Tim's own personal journey.
