Edge of Twilight screenshots released

Team Xbox have scored themselves half a dozen hi-resolution screenshots of Edge of Twilight, a third-person action/adventure game in development at Fuzzyeyes Studios. From the Edge of Twilight website...

Edge of Twilight is a third-person action adventure game developed for the PC and Xbox 360 platforms presenting a unique post-apocalyptic, steampunk fantasy world that has been split into separate realms of Day and Night. Take the role of Lex, an outcast bounty hunter who finds himself caught amidst the clash of two polar opposite civilizations, the industrial Atherns and the spiritual Literhn, the result of impetuous greed for a solitary source of energy.

    Wow.

Im more than happy with how that looks. My previous statements on the storyline aside and irrelevant, that looks pretty damn good to me.

Looks pretty decent. Although when the bar has been set by the likes of Gears of War, its got a bit of work to do.

Nice to see something more fleshed out then just concept art. Great work Fuzzy.

Well they look good enough for an RPG, and in the case of one, it is really the story that makes the game convincing more so than graphics and even gameplay -- think: Deus Ex.

But they still have a long way to go. Even with some interesting screenshots out. As screenshots are screenshots. Seen a whole lot of them from games that never got released ;).

They have a tendency to make a game look a lot better and more farther along than it really could be. That said, they can make a game look a lot less polished and farther along than it really is :/.

Anyway great work, but, don't get big heads and end up dropping the ball even before you're on the court :).

Well I have to concur with the comments that this looks more impressive than I had expected from a start-up. Nice work FE - I really wish you every success.

There is one caveat - a lack of consistency in the quality of the textures and a lack of visual harmony - that is, a lack of a focal point, too many textures with small 'noisy' details, and a limited tonal range. It's just a wee bit messy.

Still it's early days, and this is one I'll certainly be watching. Great work guys.

Correction. FE have had a successful title in the past and have been around since 01. I should also say that my observation is based on the screenshots provided only. And it's only more noticable in some of the screens. The one shown above being an example. BTW, I'm liking the steampunk overtones of this.
