Konami Announces Hellboy, Developed by Krome

"The last press conference before the big show was Konami's annual exhibition at the L.A. Public Library. It was full of new game revelations as usual, but one of the most surprising new announces was Hellboy -- a licensed actioner based on the popular Dark Horse Comics series and movie franchise. Developed by the Ty the Tasmanian guys at Krome Studios, Hellboy will see release for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Sony PSP sometime in 2007."

Early days, I'm sure, but can't the character's look a little more stylised, a little less "generic-high-res-realistic-as-we-can-make-it"? Mignola's art deserves better.

Obviously you were not at E3 as Krome does do justice to Mignola's art.

Well, I guess we'll have to wait till 2007 to see..

To be fair those shots do seem to be of the "make publisher happy for E3" variety. Everyone in the industry has been there and done that.

There is a site calling Hellboy the worst art of E3

Yeah the shots in questions didn't use any of the functionality that even current gen engines use like normal mapping etc, so i suspect its just a prototype pic that got accidently released to the public

obviously you are an anonymous coward (cowpat?) if you make comments like that but don't put your name to it. How does your work compare?

Phew, obviously Konami forced Krome to deliver something for E3???? Why can't publishers wait until something is ready to be seen or played!
