Krome Announces New Adelaide Studio

Krome Studios, Australia's largest video game developer, announces the opening of a new studio in Adelaide, Australia. The new studio further establishes Krome Studios' position as a world leading independent developer as the company now employs more than 180 staff members. Krome Studios with the help of the Adelaide team is in development on a series of high profile game projects for the current and next gen consoles and handheld platforms.

The team that makes up the Krome Studios Adelaide studio are comprised of highly seasoned talent who have previously worked together at other game companies within the local Australian scene. Their experience coupled with the well respected team based in the Brisbane headquarters compliment one another and positions Krome Studios as a major development force within the gaming industry.

Krome Studios is an award-winning company, best known for creating the hit original game franchise, TY the Tasmanian Tiger? which has sold over two million units worldwide to date. In 2004, Krome became one of the few game developers to take its own intellectual property from games to animation by partnering with ?The Simpsons?? producers DPS Film Roman? to develop TY the Tasmanian Tiger? into an animated series.
