S15 entry fee? That sounds pretty steep.
The winner will only walk away S85 richer... :|
Cool competition regardless...
hey Smeg, its Tim here, the comp organiser - I appreciate your point. The thinking behind the comp is Dissecta wants the winner toget some great exposure (obviously through Dissecta and our monthly events where we will make a big deal about showing the winner's work on the big screen, and on the Dissecta website) but also to provide a proper experience licensing their work - a proper licence and a small licence fee (in the event they haven't licensed any of their work previously it should be an eye opener). At the same time, S85 - not much, so what else is on the cards? What we are organising but we haven't finalised yet hence the lack of an announcement, is for an Australian recording artist (in the rock vein) to provide some unique "artist to artist" congratulations for the winner, which we expect to announce shortly. It really will be pretty cool. And we are also bringing across a Gundam figurine from Japan for the winner (about AUDS50). Stay tuned to Dissecta, why don't you let us now what you think is cool - a night on the town with a lead artist or programmer? It has been suggested internally, what do you think? Cheers - Tim, www.dissecta.com
