Mattework: Industrial Scene

Submitted by weather on

Hi Folks
Here is a mattepainting that I have finished.

All created in photoshop (as usual) with some help from 3D max. A friend on the job created the pipes, which I then did the light and some texture for.
Finally good to use 3D, certainly makes thing easier.

Cheers

Excellent, it looks very eerie, like a ghost town. The sky is cool also.

Thanks for the comments people.
This one image took about 70 hrs and was for a video film clip, that has yet to be released( probably not meant to talk about it!).
It had to be created in such a way as to allow the "Flame" people to put a move on the image. I have not seen the final comp, but I am sure they have done a great job.
It was a real blast working with a whole group of people with skills in different mediums. ie. 3D, Flame and Design.
I reckon working in a group environment tends to bring out better results, than simply working by yourself, plus it more fun.
Anyway, thats my 2 cents.

PS I am pretty busy with work to help out with the sumea mod. Though, its a flickle business so you never know.....

Cheers
