Gamecloud has an interview with IR Gurus producer, Justin Halliday, on their air combat game set in World War II called Heroes of the Pacific...

"Justin Halliday - We wanted to create an air combat game that featured up-close-and-personal dogfight gameplay, the kind that you don?t normally find in games such as Ace Combat. Modern day air combat is so impersonal since you rely so much on technology to shoot guided missiles at a flyspeck miles away. So, we settled on WWII as the appropriate era for our game."

    Guys, great job on this game. Looks great, designed well, but more impotantantly its fun! Thanks for coming in to the AIE for the talk aswell.
