Launching a career in one of the world's fastest growing industries is now much easier as the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) has gained approval to operate government loan scheme, VET FEE-HELP.
AIE is Australia's leading educator for video game development. VET FEE-HELP will allow AIEs students of the Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development to study without paying upfront fees. The scheme enables students to defer fees in whole or part.
Ian Gibson, AIE CEO, said the introduction of VET FEE HELP adds an exciting new dimension to AIE's commitment to offering accessible study and advanced diploma training in computer game development.
"Video game development is one of the world's fastest-growing industries. VET FEE-HELP will make career pathways into specialist game development more accessible for students at AIE. This means we can better support our students to become influential players in the computer gaming industry in Australia and the world.
"AIE supports emerging industries in specialist game development, enabling Australia to make a definitive footprint in global industries.
Mr Gibson said AIE is committed to enhancing the experience it offers students.
"We achieve this through a continued strategy of student enablement and industry-driven video game development education.
"This commitment is reflected in our securing of VET FEE-HELP assistance for our students.
"The announcement of VET FEE-HELP becoming part of our student support package further cements AIEs status as Australia's leading video game development educator."
AIE has February and July intakes each year at their campuses in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. AIE takes an industry-focussed approach to education, working with leading game development studios to enhance career pathways for AIE students.
