Interview with Grant Davies of Endgame Studios

At the recent Ballarat GIG, PALGN had the chance to catch up with Endgame co-founder Grant Davies to discuss developments with Endgame and their original IP Slidatron DS.

The interview also brings to light the fact that Endgame will be looking into Wii development in the near future, as well as being very close to signing a deal to get a publisher for Slidatron DS.

Even though Endgame have been around for 4 years now, Grant mentions that the first 2 years were the hardest, though the last 18 months have been really positive.

...in the last 18 months there's been so much work coming into Australia that it's actually been a really great time to be a startup company in Australia. We're really lucky that it just happened at this time and we were able to stay around because now things are really looking good for Endgame. So now it was one of the best decisions I've made... But if you'd asked me 18 months ago or 2 years ago it would have been one of the worst decisions ever!

It's great to hear about a new startup in the games industry being able to make it, and even move into the console space, with the added bonus of getting out some home-grown IP.
