Sierra has re-emerged from Vivendi to publish The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night which is being developed by Krome Studios for PS2, GBA, Nintendo DS and Wii. Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman are said to be providing the voice for Spyro and Ignatius respectively.
Sierra is aiming for the mid-low end bracket of the market with the next in the Spyro series, but it?s still interesting to see the GBA still being developed for 6 years after it first came on the market, one might wonder how long it will continue to be supported. Considering that there are estimated to be almost 80 million units sold worldwide and people are still buying games for it, possibly a while yet.
Legend of Spyro, not Spiro.
You spelt Spyro wrong in the title. Comments are all stuffed up in my browser. Widescreen (1920x1200) IE 7.0.5730.11
The comments areas on Sumea are messed up in IE7. I'm trying to figure out why it is, but needless to say, IE7 and its handling of CSS is a massive pain and has broken a lot of things on here. It all works fine in Firefox, Opera, and mostly fine in IE6.
Yeah, the comment section is definately better now Souri in IE7. Thanks :)

Hmm, so Kromes inhouse engine works on the Wii.
With the other games they are known to be developing that is interesting news. :)
Porting from Gamecube to Wii is apparently easy
Huh... what?

I don't think they are doing the GBA or DS versions internally. Amaze entertainment will be doing those I believe.
..and from the looks of the screen shots that Amaze company totally kicked serious butt. At least in the graphics department! Just look at last years games compared to this years. I hope to see videos soon so we can get a better idea how they actually play.
