Can you tell us a little bit about your company and the team behind it?
Brodersen: Third Wave Games is a Melbourne based games developer founded by Johnni Christensen (the Art Director) and I a few years ago. Our first title released is "War World - Tactical Combat" (www.warworld.net), a fast and powerful mech combat game. It is published in retail in Europe and Australia by Lighthouse.
Can you tell us a little bit about your education and career?
Brodersen: I have a Master of Science degree (Computer Science) from the Technical University of Denmark. My first job was working as a software engineer for the game developer Rare (England) and my first game published while working for Rare was Banjo Kazooie (for the N64). I later became the Development Director of a Scottish games developer and then moved to Melbourne as the Studio Director for Blue Tongue Entertainment. A few years ago I then decided to start Third Wave Games with by business partner Johnni Christensen.
How hard was it for you to find a publisher?
Brodersen: It is always hard to find publishers so we decided early in the process to work with an experience US based agent. Having an agent makes it possible for us to focus on producing games while the agent takes care of the publisher representation side. This has been a successful arrangement for us.
Can you tell us about the deal that will see the follow-up to War World
brought to Xbox 360?
Brodersen: I can't say too much about it at the moment except for the fact that we have signed a contract to bring War World to Xbox 360. More information will be made available once the publisher makes the official announcement.
Aside from that, what do you think the future holds for Third Wave Games?
Brodersen: We are looking at a number of promising game designs but it is too early to make a decision about the next step. War World II is a possibility but we are also looking at other possibilities.
