About Us:
Acheron Design is an independent game development studio based in Melbourne. For information, visit our website at http://acheron-design.net
About The Project:
The game in development is a vertical scrolling shooter. It is similar in many respects to games such as Raiden, Raptor, Tyrian, Gigawing, Ikaruga, etc. Our artists will be required to model and texture high polygon renditions of:
- Spaceships (including bosses)
- Combat vehicles (tanks, trucks, etc)
- Combat buildings (turrets, etc)
- Civilian buildings
- Landscape details (trees, rocks, etc)
In addition, art will be required for the following game components
- Ingame HUD components
- Menu screens
The game has been in development for some time now, and is well advanced. It was demonstrated at the 2005 FreePlay Expo. The game is developed using Acheron Design's proprietary 2D game technology.

Clarification:
It wasn't exactly made clear above, but nobody in Acheron is currently drawing a salary - we all devote our time voluntarily. However, anyone who helps in the production of a commercial product will definitely get their share of the profts, and we do intend to hire an artist fulltime once we have sufficient cashflow.
Hey! I was wondering if it was possible for someone in Adelaide to help with the concept sketches. I'm willing to work for the experience.
