Krome wins Arts/Entertainment Export Award

Krome has won the 2002 Premier of Queensland Export Awards in Arts and Entertainment..

"Brisbane computer game developer Krome Studios has made it two in a row by again being named Queensland?s best exporter in the Arts/Entertainment category. Krome creates video games for the PC and next generation consoles and also won this category last year.

Krome exports to North America and Europe through international publishers such as toy giant Mattel, Disney and Electronic Arts, the world?s largest games publisher.

Chief executive officer Robert Walsh says Krome?s competitive edge is its real time water simulation technology, in which it leads the world.

?We are constantly refining and enhancing our technology to keep pace with the latest game machines and consoles,? he said.

?The video game market is an exciting and thriving multi-billion dollar industry, worth more than AU$11.3 billion in the US alone last year and Krome is positioned to become a world-class developer of interactive entertainment.?
