Social Media Manager

Toot Games is seeking a Social Media Manager for contract work to work on our flagship game, My Arms Are Longer Now. 

We’re keen to post predominately on TikTok and Instagram, maintaining a consistent release schedule across production. There’ll be a mix of appearing in the videos/content yourself, and other times you’ll be highlighting the role and work of team members. 

This is a hybrid role located in Melbourne, Victoria. There won’t be set days in the office, but some socials/filmed content will occasionally need to be in person.

Rate: $37-38.5 p/h for a total of 320 contracted hours. 
Contract: Fixed term 10-month contract, working 1 day a week (hours super flexible) and the possibility to increase hours as we get closer to the game’s release.

Role:

• Lay out a social strategy for approval, then going to town
• Scripting, editing and scheduling social video and image content 
• Announcing milestones, events and trailers
• Giving the audience a BTS look of the upcoming game and the studio
• Matching the Toot Games’ goofy little online voice and brand
• Responding to comments and building community

Skills & Experiences:

• Maintaining an online comedic presence, either for yourself or a brand
• Ability to iterate on assets as needed to achieve the desired look/style
• Working knowledge of Premiere Pro and Photoshop
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team

Nice-to-haves:

• An interest in gaming and the gaming space
• Discord know-how 
• Enjoys some dumb/grotty comedy

The Game: My Arms Are Longer Now is a comedic 2D stealth/adventure game for Mac, PC and Nintendo Switch.

You are a very long arm that does heists. Avoid security systems, decipher blueprints, snake through vents, put a sock on your hand and seduce a lonely guard — whatever it takes to pull off the perfect score!

A mashup of tense stealth and ridiculous comedy, My Arms Are Longer Now offers a unique and feral gaming experience.

The Studio: Toot Games is an independent games studio in Naarm/Melbourne - formed by Matthew Jackson (Programmer, Technical Artist, Designer) & Millie Holten (Artist, Writer, Designer). Comedy, silliness and heart are at the core of our work. As we expand, we are committed to hiring people with different lived experiences to our own.
