Blowfish Studios is seeking an Art Coordinator to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to coordinate the art production pipeline for multiple titles currently in production.
Overview
As an Art Coordinator, you work closely with Producers and Department Leads on a cross-department level to maintain schedules, achieve milestones, track feature and content status, communication team check-ins and progress, and assist with coordinating resources across multiple projects & departments. The ideal candidate will have production experience/exposure. They will like working in a team environment, be able to self-manage tasks, passionate about video games & love spreadsheets!
Requirements
- Coordinator experience in games, film, or a related industry.
- Desire to pursue a career in game production.
- General understanding of project management fundamentals (e.g. scheduling, tracking, reporting).
- A good understanding of digital assets creation and overall pipeline methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate the team.
- Experience & Confidence with Shotgrid (Shotgun) & Google Suite.
- Ability to work on location at the studio.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Production and Leads to understand and communicate the expectations of time, quality & quantity.
- Assist Production & Leads to track, organise, maintain, and document the status of works.
- Create a tight working relationship with all the artists across multiple teams.
- Build and maintain the day-to-day artist-based schedule, communicating progress, schedule changes, and variances as required.
- Organise and prepare review sessions, documenting and communicating feedback from Directors and Leads to Artists.
- Liaise with other teams to facilitate the efficient communication and transfer of information between departments, and our outsourcing partners.
- Find opportunities to help your team focus on doing what they do best.
- Monitor artist hours and ensure timesheets are accurately filled.
- Support, mentor and train Production, Leads and Artists with ShotGrid best practice standards.
- Provide Artist Management with information relevant for performance and salary reviews
- And, Ensure that the teams are on track to meet key dates.
Nice to Have
- A broad knowledge of games across all current platforms.
- 2D or 3D artist with game development pipeline experience.
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to provide workable solutions.
- Knowledge of Unity and Unreal game engines is beneficial.
