Summerfall Studios is looking for an early-career Junior Narrative Designer who is eager to grow and gain experience in a studio environment, working and training under Creative Director, David Gaider.
The successful candidate will be assisting with narrative design work, as well as working with the creative director to write interactive dialogue and participating in the creative process for worldbuilding and character ideation. For this, they will receive training on writing and narrative design.

This role is a full-time 12 month contract located in Melbourne, Australia. It is open to those who have been residents of the state of Victoria for 6+ months, and who can live and work in Australia.
This is an in-studio role that requires the successful candidate to be on-site, but we have flexible policies and are happy for you to work from home part-time, depending on your current tasks, if that is your preference.
The remuneration for this position is $50-55k AUD package based on experience.

Key Responsibilities
Write and edit character dialog in Unreal
Assist the Creative Director with narrative design tasks
Assist the Creative Director with ideation and worldbuilding
Write and maintain design documentation for all narrative elements
Test and document dialog issues
Assist the cinematics team with content implementation where necessary
Review builds and provide feedback
Required Skills
A flair for writing engaging and concise prose
Familiarity and experience with writing branching dialog
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Bonus Skills
A post-secondary degree in a creative field
Demonstrated experience with lyrics or poetry
Experience as a Dungeon Master in D&D groups or improv experience
Experience in Unreal
Previous experience with mixed in-house/remote development
