Hi everyone,
I have to do research on 'phishing' for a Uni presentation, and was wondering if anybody had any thoughts/ideas concerning it that I could use as information...
For those of you that don't know what 'phishing' is, check out this link...http://www.computerworld.com.au/index.php?id=982216489&fp=2&fpid=523913…]
This was on Slashdot yesterday:

Maybe you could rig up a demo using one of the techniques described?
*chuckle* Looks like someone I know is going for a bit of FUD while he can! :P) - hope it works! OTPs rule.

Isnt it funny that they have to come up with a new word for it.. I wonder why social engineering isnt used.. Probably because its not so "Buzzworthy"..
If you want some good info on the techniques in general - try searches for social engineering. Specifically I would look at old Phrack issues. http://www.phrack.org/
Or you could lookup all the spam ppls.. they use lots of the same techniques to harvest email addresses.
