Player Attack and MCV Pacific have cited unnamed sources for the news that Whore of the Orient and its development team at KMM Games is finished.
Whore of the Orient, the next big title from former Team Bondi founder and L.A Noire creator, Brendan McNamara, was being developed at KMM Games in Sydney but has been put on hold by its parent company, Kennedy Miller Mitchell. In late 2011, KMM had acquired Team Bondi and it's assets, and also gave Team Bondi's remaining staff the option to work for KMM Games.
The Team Bondi website briefly teased some information on Whore of the Orient, giving the impression that McNamara's latest project was as equally as ambitious as his prior titles, L.A Noire and The Getaway...

Sources have told Player Attack that publisher Warner Bros pulled the plug on the project and KMM have not been successful in finding a new backer. The developers working on the game are believed to have been let go.
