Melbourne indie developers, Walk Through the Clock, have laid down the smack on fellow Melbourne-based games developers, Kumobius. After a highly successful thread on Reddit with nearly a thousand 'upvotes' to promote their two-year-in-development platformer game, Beans Quest, Kumobious has been challenged by Walk Through the Clock for a bout of VIOLENT ARMED COMBAT.
You see, Walk Through the Clock have finished their own indie game, the very polished Call Connect, however it didn't receive the same level of popularity as Kumobious' thread on Reddit. The reasons why aren't very clear, however, the two man team at Walk Through the Clock are suggesting an "improvised fight to the death" is now necessary between the two studios...
(Walk Through the Clock) So, Kumobius, if that is your real name; we call you out. Face us. This is the only way to prove which of our teams is superior. You'd think it would be about who makes better games, you'd be WRONG. That's the coward's way out. It is only through taking the life of your opponent or beating him at Smash Bros. that true dev talent is revealed.
Walk Through the Clock suggests that the loser ponies up for a meal at a restaurant for the winner and makes their game free for eternity...... for 1 week.
