Garage Gamer: Level Up Games Night

Location

When: 6pm until 9pm. Friday, 11 January 2013
Where: State Library of Queensland

Garage Gamer, a video games exhibition event for all local game lovers and game makers, is kicking off tomorrow at the State Library of Queensland. As well as showcasing a (playable) games gallery, Garage Gamer will be host to game-related workshops, films, talks, as well as special events. One program to keep a look out for is 'Level Up' which commences Friday, next week. This first 'Level Up' will feature two teams competing against each other with game design challenges submitted by the audience...

Our first Level Up games night kicks off on Friday 11 January where two hand-picked teams publically battle out a series of game design challenges. It’s Iron Chef meets Spicks and Specks meets Cut n Paste. Audience members get to nominate design challenges for our teams and watch as they battle to create the best game by the end of the night. Come along after work and grab a drink, play the latest Queensland made video games, and vote for your favourite team.

If you're interested in coming along, you'll need to book yourself a ticket online at the Garage Gamer website here. Registration is essential, but it's absolutely free to attend. And while you're at it, list yourself on the special Facebook event page that's been set up for this particular event!
