About the role:

We’re looking for a full-time Sound Designer who has a love for cozy games, and is excited by the prospect of helping make Loftia' come to life via audio!

Responsibilities:

Our Sound Designer will be responsible for:

  • Creating, editing, and implementing high-quality audio assets, including sound effects and ambient sounds
  • Working effectively and efficiently to implement audio within Unreal Engine
  • Leading efforts on process building, implementation, and problem solving for audio across the project

We’re looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience working with and implementing sounds for video game projects within Unreal Engine. Familiarity with Fmod and/or WWise is very welcome
  • Have previously shipped video game titles under their belt
  • Ability to proactively work as a one-person department in a remote-first gamedev startup spanning multiple time zones
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, adept at receiving feedback and implementing changes accordingly

Employment Details

  • Form of employment: Full-time permanent
  • Employment location: Preference for Australia (exceptional remote candidates will also be considered)
  • Start date: As soon as possible
  • Salary: Competitive Australian market rates (international candidate salaries negotiable depending on experience and location)
