Toot Games is seeking an indie games producer to work two days a week (flexible) on our first game, My Arms Are Longer Now.
We are after someone who has a confident knowledge and experience of indie games production and enjoys dumb comedy.
This role is remote (though with the opportunity to work occasionally in our office when needed), but you must be located in and authorised to work in Australia.
Diverse and junior candidates are encouraged to apply! We value aptitude and a friendly professional attitude more than years and years in the industry.
Base Rate: $38-44.2 per hour depending on expertise and experience
Hours: for an estimated 800 hours over a 12 month period -- about 2 days a week. This is fairly flexible and could be split across the week as you see fit. As we move closer to release, there will be an opportunity to increase hours.
Role:
- Project management; ensuring production runs on schedule, breaking down the timeline/deliverables and delegating tasks to ensure milestones are met
- Implementing, maintaining, and adapting production process habits.
- Coordinate between team members across departments
- Arranging testing and events
- Essentially; taking some of the schedule and budgeting brain work off the teams shoulders, and maintaining a macro view of the whole project
Skills & Experiences:
- Has shipped at least one title. As this is our debut game, we’d love someone who knows more than us to guide it to the finish line
- Proactive
- Very strong communication skills and ability to work with a team
- Attention To Detail
- Team Management
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Steamworks
- Familiarity with Australian government funding grants
- Has experience shipping a title on the Nintendo Switch
- Enjoys some dumb/grotty comedy
The Game: My Arms Are Longer Now is a comedic 2D stealth/adventure game for Mac, PC and Nintendo Switch.
You are a very long arm that does heists. Avoid security systems, decipher blueprints, snake through vents, put a sock on your hand and seduce a lonely guard — whatever it takes to pull off the perfect score!
A mashup of tense stealth and ridiculous comedy, My Arms Are Longer Now offers a unique and feral gaming experience.
The Studio: Toot Games is an independent games studio in Naarm/Melbourne - formed by Matthew Jackson (Programmer, Technical Artist, Designer) & Millie Holten (Artist, Writer, Designer). Comedy, silliness and heart are at the core of our work. As we expand, we are committed to hiring people with different lived experiences to our own.
