We’re looking for a Game Composer to join our Interactive team and bring our game to life through a high-quality score! You’ll excel in the creation of both diegetic and non-diegetic game composition, and work to create strong, memorable themes and leitmotifs for game locations, features, and characters. For this role, we’re particularly looking for someone familiar with the fantasy genre and rustic, earthy folk music, preferably with a UK/EU slant.

We are also looking for an Audio Designer, and we are open to the right person filling both roles. This would boost the hours to full time fixed term.

What will you be doing?

  • Plan, conceptualise, and create original music and ambience for our IP game project in a DAW
  • Collaborating with game vision holders, the design team and our audio designer on motifs, tone, scale, and mood
  • Create and establish audio pipelines to integrate your music within the game
  • Working closely with the team and ensuring you’re delivering clear and frequent updates on your work
  • Prepare audio for marketing collateral including trailers, announcements, websites, and any other requirements that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the Game Audio Designer on the overall audio direction of the game
  • Being active across our communication channels, which includes either face-to-face or zoom meetings

What we’re looking for from you

  • Clear communication skills and ability to compose within strict IP thematic requirements
  • Proficient experience creating scores for film or games
  • Professional level proficiency creating soundtracks using a DAW
  • Working knowledge of virtual instruments
  • Self-managing, with accurate gauges for timelines and deliverables.
  • Game composition experience preferred
  • Access to your own sound studio and/or tools

What we can offer you

  • Flexible working arrangements so you can work in a way that’s best for you and create a work-life balance.
  • The opportunity to stretch your legs in a game composer role and help define the music direction of a game with broad appeal and audience.
  • Multiple exciting game projects on the horizon and future opportunities for collaboration.

We’re a fun, collaborative team, who look out for and support one another. As a creative business, we know that inspiration is achieved by working with people who have a range of experiences and perspectives. We strive to create a culture of belonging, where our team members feel welcome, supported and diversity is celebrated. After all, games are for everyone.
