New Zealand developer Sidhe Interactive's racing-puzzle title, Gripshift has been reviewed by the folks over at Eurogamer, and by the look of that impressive 8/10 final rating, it seems like the new PS3 title has successfully wowed them.
Apart from a couple of glitches, and the lack of a map-editor component which they’re hoping gets a later implementation, the overall view of the game is that of a solid title, worthy of Sidhe's popular racing series. I quote from the review:
There are customisation elements, alternative unlockable racers, and an online racing mode, but these things didn't have much impact on me - the latter having none, since I was never able to find an opponent, and not for the want of trying. Give me a spare hour and a pile of unknown finish times to try and beat, though, and I'll see you an hour later. For US$ 9.99, there's much greater value here than there was on the PSP, too, and 125 tracks represents a better return.
