New Studio Director for Krome Melbourne

Krome Studios announced on Monday that former Vice President of Product Development at Konami - Kurt Busch - has joined the company as their new Studio Director for the Melbourne office.

Kurt has worked with Krome for many years, his most recent position at Konami had him oversee the development of Hellboy: The Science of Evil. With over 15 years experience in the industry Kurt has worked on many varied games from Gobliiins, to Slient Hill 4, to Dance Dance Revolution. Working with the likes of Sierra, SEGA, Infogrames and Atari in addition to Konami.

Robert Walsh commented:

We're truly excited to have Kurt, who we've known and have had the opportunity to work with for many years, join us here at Krome, Kurt displays an amazing level of passion and vision that's rare in the games industry, and it shows in every aspect of his professional career. His addition to the Krome team will help to further lead and drive our growth and success as one of the world's largest indie developers.

Kurt had this to say:

    Should be interest for Krome. Not the first producer of a publisher to join as a high level management of a company, Mike Fegan from IR Gurus (or whatever there new name is now) was ex-producer of Acclaim I believe.
