PALGN has coverage of the Ballarat Get into Games (GiG) event held at the University of Ballarat just recently. The article outlines briefly some of the happenings and going ons at the event which was supported by the Game Developers Association of Australia (GDAA) and Film Victoria, and attended by local developers IR Gurus, Endgame, Third Wave, Blue Tongue, Auran, as well as Qantm and the Academy of Interactive Entertainment.
Some of the more interesting news from the event include Blue Tongue working on a new IP for the PS3 and Xbox360, and Auran's Fury needing just a few months left for polishing. It's getting close indeed!
Overall the Ballarat GIG seems like it was quite a success. The event obviously didn't compare to large scale events such as the eGames and Entertainment Expo but this wasn't the overall aim of the event.
