I'm not sure if War of the Worlds contributed to any of Destroy All Humans!' success, but you could say that the release of Pandemic's action alien game after all the Spielberg invasion remake hype was a stroke of great genius (or more likely, great chance). In any case, iIt's finally great to hear that another locally developed title is doing extremely well internationally. www.gaming-age.com reports...
"With the recent release of the NPD TRSTS sales data for June, THQ Inc. is celebrating the overwhelming success of it's original property Destroy All Humans! as it teleports up the charts. Crypto, the most feared alien in the universe, has led THQ to new sales heights and has delivered above and beyond projected sales figures. Released on June 21st for the Sony PlayStation 2 and the Microsoft Xbox, Destroy All Humans! has achieved a Top 5 Sales Ranking on each respective platform for the month of June after only a few weeks of sales."
A fantastic accomplishment by the folks at Pandemic Studios Brisbane...
