During the Game Connect: Asia Pacific 2008 conference held in Brisbane, Managing Director of Animal Logic, Zareh Nalbandian, let it slip that local developers Tantalus and Krome Studios were working on the game adaptation of the next animated Animal Logic feature during his talk about the convergence of movies and video games.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole is being developed on the DS by Melbourne developer, Tantalus, while Krome Studios will be looking after the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii versions. A game trailer has been released by Warner Bros which shows off a whole lot of aerial owl action with some back voicing by Agent Smith Hugo Weaving, and it's expected to arrive in September, later this year.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole - The Videogame gives players a fun, new gameplay experience capturing the excitement of owl fight and flight with intuitive and smooth controls... Players will be able to do much more than fly, as they race, attack and grow their abilities for a more immersive experience throughout the expansive environments beautifully depicted in the game.
For a peek at the Legend of the Guardians movie (the follow up to Happy Feet by Animal Logic), the trailer which I was prohibited to film back in 2008 during the conference, check it out here!
