Peter Jarrett, founder and managing director of Gridwerx (winner of Sumea's Independant Developer of the Year award for 2005) has made a post on the IGDA Brisbane forums to drum up some interest on a collaborative effort for growing the independant game developer scene in Queensland.
Peter's listed a few ideas to get things rolling, including sessions and workshops for all types of people who are interested in making games, getting more people involved in Game Connect Asia Pacific, growing the online community of indie developers, and sharing space for game developing!
Gridwerx runs fortnightly "cram" sessions at Visible Inkubator in the Valley (when we can book the space) so we can work on our collective casual projects - perhaps we can open the doors wider to squeeze in other Indie gamers to share the passion and learning to get the ball rolling. Interested?
It's a great initiative, so if you're interested in contributing or making a comment, be sure to jump on over to the IGDA Brisbane forums!
