School Holiday Program at Victoria University – Games Development and Digital Media
Victoria University are pleased to announce an exciting School Holiday Program that caters to year 9-12 students, who are either simply interested or considering a career in the area of Games Development or the broader Digital Media industry.
The Holiday Program consists of two short ‘taster’ courses which will provide students with the opportunity to learn some key, industry standard, 3D computer graphics software packages in Games Development, including 3D Studio Max or Maya. They do have the option of trying one of the courses in this school holidays and if they enjoy it they can continue in the Sep/Oct school holidays.
We also offer a Portfolio Preparation course designed to prepare students for a higher success rate when applying for our certificate and Advanced Diploma qualifications.
The Holiday Program is a very affordable and fast way of gaining an overview to the Diploma of Screen and Media. The above program is particularly valuable exposure for students if Interactive Digital Media is not a part of their secondary school curriculum as they may otherwise not be able to gain the necessary foundational skills and knowledge to enter post-secondary education, or even consider a career in this field.
The courses will be conducted in both school holiday periods this year and will commence on the 4th of July. Students can elect to enrol in one, two or more short courses over the year, each only costing $240 and with 10% discounts possible if applying for more than 2 courses.
